FEATURE DEVELOPMENT
Since Little Soldier's inception it was always the plan that it would be expanded into a feature length film. The short film calls for more development in Daniel's fear of wetting the bed and his relationship with his frustrated Father. And the action scenes call for more climatic battles sequences between the toy soldiers and the Troll.
In the feature we will see the back-story of Daniel and his first grade school bully obstacles and the sub-plot motivation to stop wetting the bed to impress his secret crush on a girl in class. The feature would show the Father's troubles in being a single parent and the obstacles he faces at work similar to that of his son. Going deeper, we would connect Daniel's fear of the doctor to the Troll who has the same hideous laugh as he tickles Daniel's feet.
Paying homage to the film classic, "The Wizard of Oz", Daniel's toy soldiers will be played by the real life characters in Daniel's everyday life such as the bus driver, teacher, baby sitter, and nurse. Each would be a loyal officer to Cap, who would again be played by his heroic Father. The feature film would offer serious battle sequences with rolling toy tanks, Special Forces repelling down from the ceiling, and an armada of plastic toy helicopters raining down missiles on the Troll.
A feature treatment for Little Soldier has already been completed, and Dallas is currently polishing the completed feature script. Interested parties should contact onyxenter@gmail.com.
